Same Day Surgery!

WOW! A lot has changed in the medical world since Mommy had her tonsils out... YEARS ago! Not only was it same day surgery... but it was only 4 hours out of our day! I couldn't believe how we were in and out on our way home with her in no time!

We got there at 8:30 AM to get Jayden all prepped...

...waited and watched TV for about an hour until they came to get her...

....and then they loaded her up in the wagon for a fun little stroll down to the operating room.

Less than 1 hour later we were already by her side in the recovery room! She was in a lot of pain, but after an ice pack, some morphine, and a purple popscicle the tears were beginning to subside.

With Buffy by her side the entire time, Daddy showed her the surprise we bought her for being so brave! Look at that smile when we saw it was a Justin Bieber doll! :)

By 1:00 pm, here she is laying on the couch at home, all comfy and cozy.

This was later that same afternoon once the medicine kicked back in! Now it was time for HER to perform surgery on Daddy with the FUN Dr. supplies they sent home with her!

I must say that although it has been a rough week filled with UPS and DOWNS... Daddy and I are both so very proud of our BIG girl for being so brave, taking her medicine nicely, and not fighting liquids which are so important for her recovery! Thanks to our family and friends for all your thoughts and prayers through the past week! We sure appreciate it! Before we know it, our Jayden will be back to her old self! Just maybe a little quieter for the time being... which isn't so bad! ;)
