Soon after the Parker kids ate their Thanksgiving dinner, Mommy carried out her Black Friday tradition by going shopping with Daddy. They got a lot of their Christmas shopping done, however they also ran into Santa Claus at the mall, who had a special gift box, with the book above, for the Parker children to share. This is the first year Santa sent one of his special elves to keep watch on the kids in our home, then fly back to the North Pole each night to report back good/bad behaviors! Each morning he arrives back to our house, but finds a new location to sit for the day! The children are not allowed to touch the Elf, or the magic will disappear! Once they gave the Elf his name, Peter Piper Parker, he got set to work keeping track of whose been naughty and nice. It's been quite magical indeed, and all five kids have been working hard to impress him, reminding each other that "Peter's Watching". It's fun to see their excitement each morning rubbing the sleep out of their eyes just in time to search through the house in hopes to be the first one to spot lil' Elfie! Let's hope the magic continues through Christmas Eve, and that the kids try to keep on the "NICE" list! Stay tuned!
P.S. I'm not dedicated enough to take a picture of all the great spots Peter has been hiding in thus far, however I can report that there is no place that we won't hide. He's been in my poinsettia plant, on the window sill, on top of the piano, sitting by the stairwell, he even scoped out a perfect spot in the bathroom to make sure kids are brushing those teeth. ;) He found a perfect branch on the Christmas tree for a day, and even liked his spot hanging from the dining room chandelier. Although I'm not documenting each spot Peter hides, I do have a good friend who is doing just that! I can see the awesome scrapbook already! Great Job Nikki!
