Kameron's Family Party

Our little baseball slugger turned nine on Sunday, so to help him celebrate we invited the family over for a BBQ lunch, then headed out to the ball diamonds where we played a baseball game of kids vs. adults.   Kids won of course.... but ALL played hard.... even PAPA.  (He helped the kids team since he felt the teams were a little unfair.)  Hmmmm.... Did you see how many kids were on that team?

Anyways, we went back to the house for strawberry yogurt pie, baseball sugar cookies,  (Kameron wanted these instead of a cake) and ice cream.  He opened presents, and the kids went swimming with their cousins for a bit too!  Overall the weather was nice, everyone was happy, and it was a beautiful day to turn 9!

Kameron's favorite gift was his IPod.   Actually Santa brought it for him for Christmas, but sometime in March he dropped it on the garage floor and it shattered.  He hasn't had one since then but Mommy and Daddy finally found a place that fixes them so we took it to the mall to get replaced.   We wrapped it back up and re-gifted it.   He was so very appreciative to get it back in working condition that I thought he was going to cry!    He jumped up immediately and gave both his Dad and I a hug... and he has thanked us both numerous times for getting it fixed for him!   I'm pretty sure that IPod won't even go near the garage floor again any time soon!  :)    Happy B-Day Kameron.   I hope you enjoyed your family party!
