Grandma's Marathon 2012

 Here comes Daddy!    We had front row spectator bleacher seats that one of the sponsor's gave Mommy at our hotel.   $10 value per ticket!    SWEET!  

 Daddy about to cross the FINISH line.   Although this isn't Daddy's best race, we were amazed that he hung in there and finished.   With the crazy hills, the changing weather, and Daddy's sore hip.... we think he did AMAZING!    There were numerous people we talked to back at the hotel that didn't finish it at all!

 Just as the train was about to take off, Mommy spotted this little doe right outside her window!   Jaxon spotted a buck along the two and a half hour ride as well, but Mommy missed getting a picture.

 It was pretty evident that some of us did!  

We just returned from a wonderful family vacation in Duluth, MN where we got to see one of The Great Lakes, Lake Superior.   We also spent a day at The Edge water park, got to visit the Great Lakes Aquarium and Light House, we ate at the original Grandma's Restaurant, and cheered on many runners (including our Daddy) in the Grandmas' Marathon 2012.   We went on the North Shore Scenic Railroad Pizza Train, and were going to take in the Vista Fleet Cruise as well, but with choppy water we decided against it!  :)  Surely didn't want to take a chance on kids or Mommy getting motion sickness.  Overall it was wonderful family time that we were able to spend together and make numerous memories to last a life time!    Although it looks like we were on the go the entire time, we even made a little bit of time for R & R.  Anyone looking for a FUN vacation destination or even summer weekend getaway... I would strongly suggest Duluth!
